Saugatuck Sets Tentative Construction/Paving Schedule Starting May 12
The City of Saugatuck has set a tentative schedule for needed construction work around town.
Starting May 12
Approximately 150 feet of Sanitary Sewer south of Hoffman Street.
The intersection at Butler and Hoffman will be closed to traffic from approximately May 12 to May 16.
Starting May 19
Hoffman Street between Butler and Griffith—Reconstructed.
This includes completely removing the existing pavement, installing storm sewer and sanitary sewer improvements.
Hoffman from Butler to Griffith will be closed to thru traffic from approximately May 19 to May 23.
Starting May 27
Main Street between Water and Butler Streets—Reconstructed.
The new road will be slightly wider to better accommodate parking.
This will require utility pole relocations and some tree trimming and removal.
Main Street from Butler to Water will be closed to thru traffic from approximately May 27 to May 30.
Base paving of Hoffman and Butler Streets (May 28 to May 30).
June 2 to June 13
Village Square Parking Lot.
Between one and four feet of pavement will be added to the south side of the Village Square Parking lot to improve vehicular movement in this lot.
Storm sewer will be installed and the ditch will be filled in on the west side of Maple Street between Allegan and Mason.
100 feet of paver repair in the City right-of-way in front of 326 Butler Street.
Base paving of Main Street and parking lot
(June 2 to June 6).
Top course paving of Hoffman, Butler, Main Street, and parking lot (June 9 to June 13).
June 16 to June 20
Completion of punch list items and final surface restoration.
