Old Hardware Shops & Local Observer Celebrate Deserving Female Cancer Warriors

The shop owners at The Old Hardware Shops know how difficult it is to hear the words “You’ve Got Cancer”, so we have decided to join forces and offer an amazing giveaway to one deserving female cancer warrior.
We would like you - the family member, caretaker, friend, coworker, etc.  – to nominate who you think deserves this prize.
All you have to do is write a short essay on what obstacles they have faced, and tell us about their perseverance, courage and why they deserve to win this prize while fighting this horrific disease.
It can be ANY cancer, not just breast cancer that they are fighting.
You may post your essay on any of our facebook pages. We will gather all nominated names and hold a drawing on Friday October 30th. We look forward to reading about these heroes among us.
(The nominees should have the availability to travel to Saugatuck between November 2015 and May 2016 to take advantage of the vacation rental, yoga classes and roses.)
We are all located in the Old Hardware Shops at 439 Butler Street.
