Lakeshore Community Chorus Presents Annual Spring Concert This Weekend

The Lakeshore Community Chorus will present their annual Spring Concert with two performances on Saturday June 3, 7:30 p.m. and again Sunday June 4, 4 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck.
The chorus is under the leadership of directors W. Gene Coburn and Nancy Plantinga, with accompanist Cameo Elzinga. Additional accompaniment for the Spring Concerts will be provided by string, wind and percussion players from Grand Valley State University and members of the chorus itself.
The chorus will present a wonderful mix of beautifully arranged selections providing a vibrant musical experience that helps to bring the season to life and “give voice” to topics and events throughout history.
This year’s concert will also feature the Fennville High School Chamber Choir under the direction of Jocelyn Leonard.
The Lakeshore Community Chorus Spring concerts have become a community tradition.
Nancy Plantinga adds, “It is the perfect way for you and your family to usher in our beautiful West Michigan spring.”
Tickets for the “Music, Give Voice” concert are $20 (Adult) and $10 (Student) and can be purchased on-line with a credit card by going to: lakeshorecommunitychorus.org.
Tickets can also be purchased in person with cash or check at Scooter’s Cafe, 322 Culver in Saugatuck.
The Lakeshore Community Chorus is an adult 501C3 community organization that is dedicated to the performance of varied choral music for the benefit, education and enjoyment of its members and our audiences from our surrounding lakeshore communities.
Since its inception in 2010, the chorus has grown its ranks to include members of communities from all over our West Michigan lakeshore.
