Glik Family Stores For 118 Years Are A Testament To Small Business & Resort Retail

Visitors and locals alike were treated to a unique “ribbon” cutting ceremony when local retailer Glik’s dedicated their new and improved store expansion.

A long time local favorite, Glik’s flagship store on Butler Street in Saugatuck expanded it’s square footage inside and out!

The store now includes a second entrance on Hoffman Street next to Uncommon Coffee Roasters. The new second entrance features a large outdoor patio area with seating and landscaping that is sure to attract shoppers.

“We are certainly pleased with the final design,” said Jeff Glik, President and CEO of the company. Glik thanked those involved with the timely expansion in his opening remarks.

Mayor Bill Hess and Mayor Pro Tem Christine Peterson joined Glik in the ceremonial cutting of the “ribbon” which consisted of $118 dollar bills that represented the number of years that Gliks stores have been open.

The $118 was thereafter donated to the Saugatuck-Douglas Area Business Association.

Glik’s current hours can be found on their website or at saugatuckdouglas.com.
