Fennville District Library Offers A Wonderful Array Of Programs To Kick Off New Year

The Fennville District Library is ringing in the New Year with a Winter Reading Program. Adults and children are invited to sign up beginning January 2nd, 2019.
Join the fun and earn “cool” prizes!

The library will hold two kick-off parties for children ages 5-18 : Friday, January 4th from 3 - 5 p.m. and Saturday, January 5th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Come, enter a raffle and sign up while you enjoy hot cocoa and tasty treats.

The Fennville District Library Book Club will meet on January 2nd at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the book “Sing, Unburied, Sing” by Jesmyn Ward.
New members are always welcome!

Children of all ages are invited to build something amazing at our LEGO Lab on Monday, January 7th at 3:30 p.m.

The library will have Legos and Duplos ready and waiting!

In addition to its regular activities, the library will be adding a couple of new programs in the Youth Services Department.

Music and Movement starts January 11th, at 10:30 a.m. and will be a regular Friday morning program. Join the library team and celebrate the fun of moving and grooving with an all-singing, all-dancing morning of stories and fun.

Do you like comics and graphic novels?

Well BANG! POW! ZAP! The library’s DIY Comics is the program for you! Drop-in between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 21 to make your own, one-of-a-kind, comic or graphic novel.

Get inspiration from the library’s collection. Supplies will be provided. For ages 10 and up.

Regular programming that continues into 2019 includes:
• Family Science Time is moving to Thursdays beginning Thursday, January 10th at 3:30 p.m. (ages 5-13)
• Storytime moves to Wednesday mornings beginning Wednesday, January 9th at 10:30 a.m. (ages 0-5)
• Craft Club picks up again on Tuesday, January 8th at 3:30 p.m. (ages 5-13)
• Adult Knitting Group will be meeting Monday, January 21st at 1:30 p.m.
• Computer Classes are on Mondays at 10:30 a.m.
