Ex-County Commissioner Told The Township Wants His Property Cleaned Up
Ex-Allegan County Commissioner Randy Brink needs to clean up property he owns that once housed a brass foundry and later a paintball business.
That’s the word from Saugatuck Township officials who want Brink to take care of dilapidated buildings and debris on his property located at 3534 63rd St.
Township Zoning Administrator Steve Kushion has had written communications with Brink’s son, Chad, over a permit request to allow the Brinks to take down the front part of one of the buildings and utilize the rear section for future businesses.
Chad Brink has indicated he wants to put in a machine shop and wood shop on the premises.
Kushion characterizes the main building a safety hazard.
He also wants the Brinks to remove a storage tank that is located near the roadway along with junk vehicles, debris and barrels of possibly toxic material. Kushion wants a clean-up status report by January 19th.
