Douglas Holiday Celebration

The holiday celebration begins at 10 a.m. on November 24th in downtown Douglas highlighting Small Business Saturday featuring festive ideas at the many unique and charming shops and restaurants.

Sumptuous goodies from food trucks will keep your spirits high while Santa Claus welcomes all to share Christmas wishes.

Carriage rides beginning at 4 p.m. are the “star on top” of what promises to be an exciting event.

Douglas celebrates the annual “tree lighting” with members of the Lakeshore Community Chorus, directed by Nancy Plantinga. Join the chorus at the antenna tower from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Audience members are invited to sing along!

The singers provide a little sample from their upcoming holiday concert, “Holidays Around the World” scheduled on December 1st and 2nd at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.

Tickets for their seasonal performance are available through the SCA.

Come join the holiday fun gleefully sponsored by the Douglas Downtown Development Authority!
